Well this is a picture of Bebeth in the hospital. Late one evening while we were hanging sheet rock in our basement, Bebeth's stomach started hurting. Long story short, she ended up in the hospital with appendicitis. She's on the mend, back at work, with three little scars where they did the procedure.

Greg and I took a afteroon off recently and headed up the Middle Fork of the Snoqualmie to fish for trout. The weather was gorgeous all day long, and the fish were plentiful. Greg is working a great run that brought him 10 fish to hand over a 20 foot stretch.

This past weekend we went out to the coast to celebrate the marriage of Peter and Kyla Leon. The wedding took place at the Kalaloch lodge out on Highway 101. On the way to the wedding the weather was rainy and overcast. But when we got to the lodge, the weather turned to blue sky and hot weather. (Lots of people got sunburnt).

An attempt to take pictures of the fireworks. I have new respect for photographers who take night pictures, and pictures of fireworks.

This is a healthy cutthroat trout I took from the creek yesterday. It probably measured around 15". I caught it skating a black elk hair caddis across the surface of a deep pool. The fish would literally launch them selves out of the water after the fly. If the fish missed the fly on the first take, it would often chase after the fly breaking the water multiple times in an effort to catch it's prey. I caught around 12 fish yesterday, primarly from three different spots.

This is a creek that is particularlly special for me as I grew up on it. Over the last few years since I've gotten into fly fishing I've returned to it. I wish I had been into fly fishing when I used to live on this creek. I spent one whole summer cataloging particular fishing holes, what lures to use, when you could catch fish in them etc. I wrote everything down in a little notebook. I was able at any time go out and catch fish, it was fun.
